
Every 25th October World Pasta Day is celebrating annually since 1998. The 2017 edition is organized by ABIMAPI (Associação Brasileira das Indústrias de Biscoitos, Massas Alimentícias and Pães & Bolos Industrializados) in collaboration with the International Pasta Organization (IPO).
For 2017, the "capital" of pasta will be São Paulo, Brazil. The city will host the celebrations of World Pasta Day through an event attended by 250 delegates belonging to Pasta Industry, Institutions, Representatives of the scientific community.
Pasta to nourish the planet. This is the challenge of the 19th World Pasta Day to celebrate the food symbol of the Mediterranean diet. Within the "The Power of Pasta" project, aimed at fighting hunger in the world, over 3 million of pasta dishes will be donated from pasta producers from all over the world.
During the event, 7 Italian pasta factories will be opened to the interested visitors which will discover the pasta producers’ experience, know how and passion that guide them in recognizing and selecting the best grains from all over the world to produce an excellent pasta.
